Episode #13: Brave Enough to Begin Again – Jane Jordan’s Story of Addiction, Recovery & Resilience

In one of the most raw and personal episodes yet, I sit down with my sister, Jane Jordan, to talk about her lifelong battle with fear, addiction, and the incredible strength it takes to reclaim your life.

Growing up in a chaotic home as one of five daughters in suburban Milwaukee, Jane’s anxiety began early - with a deep fear of school and an overwhelming sense of not fitting in. Outwardly, she was the pretty, funny, outgoing girl. But inside, she was lost and hurting. By middle school, she had already discovered alcohol - and from that point forward, it became her way to numb, to cope, to survive.

Despite being a high-functioning mother of three, her addiction quietly and painfully progressed. After 18 years of failed attempts at recovery, Jane finally got sober - only to be faced with a devastating diagnosis: stage 4 breast cancer.

In this deeply moving conversation, Jane shares how she hit rock bottom, how she found the courage to try again, and why she now wakes up every single day with gratitude. This is a story of truth, pain, healing, and the unshakable will to live.

🎧Tune in for a powerful reminder that no matter how far gone things feel—you are never too broken to begin again.
